Silver Economy: a new and promising growth driver for the PHARMAGEST Group

The PHARMAGEST Group is active in the Silver Economy supplying computerisation products and services for pharmacies, care homes, hospitalisation at home and nursing care.

Its Solutions for e-Health Division demonstrates its strong commitment to research into innovative solutions to facilitate assisted living and home care for elderly people. Its investments, in terms of both human and financial resources, position the PHARMAGEST Group as a leading player in this field in France.

PHARMAGEST's "36 more months at home" initiative is designed to provide security for the elderly in their homes and draws on artificial intelligence to analyse data for early signs of loss of autonomy. It aims to demonstrate the on-the-ground effectiveness of innovative technological solutions for allowing individuals who are at risk of losing their independence to remain at home and, ultimately, to provide effective care to cope with dependency in the future.

PHARMAGEST started working on this project in 2015 and tested it in both home and specialist care home environments. The model involves fitting the existing home with technical aids and tele-surveillance solutions to improve the living environment and coordinate care for the elderly.

Overview of the innovative components of the "36 more months at home" solution developed by the PHARMAGEST Group

Developed by industry and academics in the medical and social-medical sectors, the "36 more months at home" initiative aims to provide innovative multi-service offerings for the elderly as early as possible as increasing dependency approaches.

The project aims to offer increased security for the elderly in their own homes or in new-generation senior living accommodation.

Using artificial intelligence, it will analyse the early signals and provide solutions as soon as the decline in independence accelerates. It stands out from other solutions on the market in that its expert systems adapt according to patients' habits and behavior.

This innovative technology can also be connected to a senior social network, helping to maintain family ties and communication with carers.
