Frans van Daele to resign Umicore's Board of Directors


Following his nomination as chief of staff of His Majesty King Philippe, Frans van Daele has resigned from the Board of Umicore with immediate effect. The Umicore Board will discuss the vacancy in the Board of Directors in the coming weeks.

Thomas Leysen, Chairman of Umicore, commented: "It is with regret that we have taken note of the resignation of Frans van Daele, but fully understand that his directorship is not compatible with his new responsibilities. On behalf of the full Board, I wish to thank Frans for his contribution over the past few months."
