Updates to Core Access, Support and Collaboration Products Now Available for Mac OS X Users


WOBURN, Mass., July 20, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LogMeIn (Nasdaq:LOGM) today announced updates for its access, support and collaboration products to ensure compatibility with the new OS X Lion operating system from Apple. Access products like LogMeIn Free, LogMeIn Pro and LogMeIn Ignition, support products like LogMeIn Rescue, and collaboration products like join.me, the company's free screen sharing service, are now Lion ready.

Updating LogMeIn to take advantage of Lion

LogMeIn Free, Pro and Ignition

The free update is available as a manual update to Macs running LogMeIn Free or LogMeIn Pro. LogMeIn Ignition users only need to update their LogMeIn Free or LogMeIn Pro hosts on their Mac – no changes are required for their iOS device. 

Just click the "LogMeIn" icon in the Finder bar and then

  1. Click on "Open LogMeIn."
  2. Click the "About" tab.
  3. Click "Check for Updates."

New LogMeIn users can download the latest build when a new Mac is added to their account via www.LogMeIn.com. Automatic updates for existing accounts will be rolled out shortly.  

LogMeIn Rescue

IT managers or helpdesk staff who use LogMeIn Rescue to provide remote support for Mac desktops and laptops will be able to do so immediately for customers and employees running Lion-based systems. No updates or settings changes are required for either the helpdesk technician or the end-user.

join.me users running Lion systems will receive a seamless, auto update. No changes required by the user.
