"The Echo360 Research Grants Program provides an ongoing and vital means of
building an international community in the field of lecture capture," says
David Morris, director of eLearning at Coventry University. "Lecture
capture technology and pedagogy affords so many opportunities to help
students maximize the benefits they get from lectures and other teaching
events as well as helping institutions improve services to students. The
Grants Program brings together teaching staff, developers and educational
researchers in a shared effort to improve teaching practice and exploit a
valuable and rapidly developing technology to the benefit of all."
Winning proposals from 2009 include topics relating lecture capture to
learning designs, study behaviors, teaching approaches and delivery of
lectures in trilingual environments. The four proposals can be read in
their entirety at www.lecturecapture.com.
Individuals or institutions interested in applying for the 2010-2011
Research Grants Program should visit www.echo360.com/grantsprogram.
