(1) USER EXPERIENCE: The ease and richness of the development
environment that creates an unbeatable user experience. It makes
it possible for our customers to change their environments in 30
minutes versus 30 days.
(2) PORTABILITY: Given Google's leadership on the web and the fact
that Google used the GWT framework for many of its own products,
the MediaBeacon solution will be supported by all major operating
systems and internet browers.
(3) OPEN AND EASY: Our customers can now easily plug-and-play into a
widget environment; not just bits and pieces from our solution,
but also OpenSocial widgets from organizations like Google. For
example, a user can now add Google Docs as a widget into a
MediaBeacon environment in minutes.
(4) SCALABILITY: In tests, we have seen better server scalability and
network efficiencies because of how Google Web Toolkit serves up
the widgets in a client's workspace.
"And all of this while keeping our foundational technology intact," said
Jason Bright, Founder and CTO of MediaBeacon.
"Google Web Tooklit radically improves the web experience for users by
allowing developers to create exactly what MediaBeacon has done in the next
release of their product," said Andrew Bowers, Product Manager for GWT for
Google. "We are pleased about MediaBeacon using our web framework in an
enterprise solution with such a rich user experience."
MediaBeacon DAM 3.0 will ship at the end of 2009.
