What: Users who register for the Vyatta promotion by November 4 will
receive a discount code that can be applied to every second
subscription or appliance purchase. Subscription purchases
will receive the full promotional discount whereas hardware
appliances will receive half of the discount (see example below).
The overall size of the discount depends upon the size of Cisco's
Q1 Fiscal Year 2010 gross profit margin. Customers MUST purchase
two units to qualify and additional units must be purchased in
quantities of two.
Example: If Cisco announces a gross profit of 70 percent,
purchases of a second subscription will be discounted 30 percent,
while purchases of a second appliance will be discounted 15
percent. The lower the gross profit, the more you save.
Where: Go to http://www.vyatta.com/promo/gross.php, prior to November 4
to register for your Vyatta subscription discount today.
When: Registration is now open. All registrants will receive a discount
code after Cisco announces its earnings on Wednesday, November 4.
Registrants will then have until 5:00 p.m. PT on Wednesday,
November 18 to purchase discounted subscriptions or appliances.
Why: Cisco has one of the largest gross profit margins in the IT
industry. Vyatta believes customers should have access to
economically priced alternatives and open networking provides
just that -- all the functionality and performance at a fraction
of the cost.
The Cisco 'Gross Profit' campaign runs concurrent with the kick off of Vyatta
University's online training courses. Vyatta is offering a 15 percent
discount on
Vyatta 514 appliances plus an additional free training course from
Vyatta University for customers choosing Enterprise or Premium level
subscriptions. Additional details on all Vyatta promotions can be found at
