GYRO'S 4-D Fear Factory Introduces the Bay Area's First 4-D Haunted Attraction and Halloween Experience

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - September 22, 2009) - GYRO's 4-D Fear Factory, the region's oldest, most popular and scariest Halloween event, has added a fourth dimension of fear this year -- smell -- making typical haunted houses seem tame. With more than 21 years of professional experience in delivering live haunted attractions, GYRO's 4-D Fear Factory is not for the faint of heart.

What does 4-D mean?

The intense 4-D experience is completely immersive. Using unique 4-D technology that includes screens and scents, guests are transported into a nightmarish encounter that thrills the senses.

"Only those who seriously want to be transported to a truly ghoulish destination should explore the new GYRO 4-D Fear Factory," said GYRO's spokesperson Kurt French. "With the addition of smell to the overall guest experience, the definition of '3-D' didn't really cut it. Guests will experience six unique attractions as they travel through GYRO's chilling 4-D Underworld:

     4-D Underworld -- Wrongly accused serial killer, Stryker, put to death
     in an electric chair, comes back to life seeking vengeance. Will you
     escape his grasp in this 4-D haunted experience?

     Horrorwood Theatre -- Come face-to-face with some all-time favorite
     undead movie villains and re-experience the horrors of Halloweens
     past with famed horror movie director, Harvey.

     AREA 666 -- The ultimate 3-D gaming experience! A video gamer's
     dream-come-true, big screens will display some of the world's most
     popular video games in 3-D.

     Armageddon -- Each mind-bending turn leaves your heart pounding with
     fear in this perplexing maze of chain links and apparitions. Heavy
     metal music and crawling creatures in search of human remains will
     leave you breathless.

     Bad Mojo Bayou -- A blood thirsty family of butchers is on the loose!
     Will you get caught in their whirling blades or will you find your
     way through a series of terrifying mazes?

     Club Nightmare -- Nightly live music hosted by guest DJs. Come party
     near the water while facing your fears all night long!
