Prior to joining Nomadix in September 2001,
Claassen was a key member of Palm, Inc.'s
business development and alliances team during
their spin off from 3Com and subsequent IPO.
While at Palm, Claassen forged many of the
company's high profile wireless and enterprise
alliances and partnerships, including Palm's
creation and funding of MobileAria, a venture with
Mayfield Fund and Delphi Electronics to deliver
handsfree wireless productivity services to PDAs and
cell phones in automobiles. Previously, Claassen
held senior sales, marketing and business
development positions at SCO, Lotus and National
Semiconductor. Claassen hails from Canada where
he earned a B.A. in music and computer science at
the University of Victoria.
