South Jersey Gas Announces Upcoming Launch of New Customer Information System
Folsom, NJ - In the coming months, South Jersey Gas will upgrade its customer care and billing system and roll out a new online self service portal. While customers don't need to do anything at the moment, it's important to look out for future communications from SJG on this topic as more detail will be provided closer to the system's implementation. Along with the new system, each customer's SJG account number will change. The new account number will be provided in the monthly gas bill in early Fall. SJG urges customers to be sure to keep this information handy once it is received as it may be needed for several reasons.
First, anyone who uses electronic banking to pay their SJG bill will need to provide their bank with the new account number. Second, to access SJG's new online self service portal once available, customers will receive a personalized PIN number on the first page of their bill statement in late summer. Using the new account number and PIN will allow customers to enroll for the self service portal. Detailed instructions on how to enroll to access online features will be provided with the PIN.
The new system will feature a number of upgrades that provide a better customer experience overall. Through a new customer self service portal, customers will be able to make payments directly online, set up payment arrangements, input meter readings, enroll in Budget Billing and Direct Debit and receive billing notifications.
