Employees of three Cascadia liquor stores will enter the second week of their strike on Saturday. A second community rally is taking place at noon.

Employees of three Cascadia liquor stores will begin their strike on Saturday, with a community rally planned for noon at one of the stores.

Unless a deal is reached in short order, a boycott of all Java Blend businesses and their products (to be considered hot cargo) will be launched Sunday.

To avoid a boycott, SEIU Local 2 says Java Blend needs to drop its frivolous objections, come to the bargaining table, and reach a fair agreement.

Java Blend's terminated workers will hold a public rally at the North St cafe in Halifax on Saturday.
